    She could start by asking if the bank are recording the call? Hopefully, the new pair of eyes has a more sensible brain attached. As has already been said, your Mother is the victim of a common crime..

    Thank you ALL so much for all of your support and assistance in this matter. We have won the appeal :T They gave her £50 compensation too. I'm just so glad this nightmare is over for her. Thank you all again :D

    That sounds like a very good outcome, bet your mum is mightily pleased! Did she get all her money back? Did they offer any explanation why they could resolve the matter so fast, after initially dragging their heels?

    Hi, yes she got all of it back plus £50 compensation :T It's a huge relief for her and me. I felt so awful and powerless to really do anything to help the situation, so I'm glad the letter worked :T
