We made it!
DD struggled quite a bit with all of the emotion (we arranged a phone call with her foster carers and a photo message from her sibling) and I had a few moments of sadness when things didn't go to plan, but the day ended really nicely.
My brother is engaged, which is lovely news.
Today we're seeing my side of the family, so it might be stressful, but I feel pretty good as DD let us lie in until 8am!! Luxury!
Also, Doctor Who was brilliant. And I have new knickers for the first time in about 6 years. :rotfl:
Hope everyone else had a lovely day. XxxMortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

Decorations are down (apart from the cards) and to be honest I'm glad Christmas is over! Had even more drama than usual this Christmas and it's nice not to have to see lots of family for another year! :T
Today is panto day and we're hoping to use my Hobbycraft voucher to buy a picture frame for my new print. OH also needs trousers due to his ridiculously wide legs and small waist (they tear very easily!). Toys R us can wait until next week.
Stupid iPhone won't let me download the fitbit app, which is a shame as that's what I'm getting for my birthday. I want the Fitbit Charge 2, which is £110 at the cheapest. Still hoping it might go down a little further!
I also can't seem to get my music onto my iPhone. I am rubbish.
We went for a nice big walk yesterday in the frosty sunshine.

We had to miss the end of the panto as the dame was taken sick and it over-ran so it was get a parking ticket or leave early. DD didn't seem to mind thankfully.
OH got some Gap jeans reduced to £11! So many bargains but no time to look.
OH almost called the breakdown people today when our car wouldn't start at the tip (what a place to breakdown!) but I reminded him he has a smartphone and thankfully we solved the problem.
Food shopping is a bit random at the moment. So hard to resist all the cheap chocolate!!!
My diet is going badly. I think because DD is home all day and we're surrounded by food I've gone back to my old ways and I feel constantly hungry. She's not back to school until 9th so I'm trying to limit the damage and not go too mad.
I've chipped my acrylic nails already. My sister-in-law-to-be did them for me but she doesn't have to contend with things like "I've lost some playmobil in the Lego tub - can you find it?" Oh well, they don't look too bad.
I can't wait for my fitbit. I'm going to ask everyone for money for my birthday, which should cover the cost. 2 weeks to go.
Did I mention I started learning German on Duolingo? Some days I only manage 5 minutes but the aim is at least 30 mins a day. My brain is so lame nowadays that it takes forever for anything to stick but I seem to be picking it up gradually. The grammar is the killer for me.
Lion King on TV this afternoon (probably with snacks) and tomorrow we're going out for a big walk.Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%

£4500 overpayment made! I'll update my signature in a few days once the website catches up. That's the whole year's OP or we'll have to pay a charge. It's not as satisfying as regular OPs but hopefully I will get to watch the savings grow this year. Annoying that interest rates are so low, but next year the 2 year fix runs out and we can make another big OP.
I have a graph on my excel sheet showing when we'll be mortgage neutral so that will still look impressive!
I wanted a Fitbit Charge 2 for my birthday but instead went for the £30 cheaper Charge HR, plus found an old gift card for £10, plus my Mum had a £5 gift card, plus my Mum got 10% staff discount! It ended up being £53!
I'm dying to start using it - 10 days to go. We went for a walk yesterday and today but it's really slippy on the pavements.
I still haven't managed to get back into my 16/8 eating routine, mostly due to all the tempting treats, so once they're gone it should be easier. I might try tracking my food on the fitbit app too.
Better go and sort the rats out. They are bringing so much joy lately. So tame now.
OH back to work tomorrow - a relief in a way as parenting can be harder with 2!Mortgage (Start Sep 2014)- £70,295/£0 - 100%
