Homemade biscuits cheaper than value?

I have been thinking the same thing and come to the conclusion that the difference, for me, goes beyond price and contents. As well as my son always helping and being able to tell me what goes into biscuits/bread etc,
I have a weight problem since having the children and I was eating far too much at night. Since I started making Twink's hobnobs (3 batches now) I've stopped with the night munchies. I have ONE biscuit and I'm satisfied. It's not just because oats are complex carbs. It's because I feel like I've had what I was craving - good taste, slight sugar rush, sustained full feeling. If I bought a packet of value biscuits, I could eat half a packet and not get that feeling because they just don't have what it takes!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
i will have to look for value butter, just so used to using stork for the biscuits
queenies biscuits would be different from the hobnobs and imagine you could sandwich them with jam or ice the tops and let the children put sprinkles on
By only slicing what is needed (rationing!) it's better on the pocket and the waistline.

Queenie
My girls have given your biscuits a new name, they are called pixie biscuits. Because they are so light and airey they seem convienced the pixies/fairies have made them. Even though they actually do the mixing etc :rotfl: Thats a 3 and 4 year old imagination for you.
I actually got some weightwatchers scales yesterday so I plan to make a batch tonight and work out how many points each biscuit is - I'm hoping for 1 point (or even less:D ).0 -

Thanks for that GR, I was just going to post that "NO! HM Bikkies are not cheaper coz they are so nice I eat them all faster then have to make more".
Not tried Twink's Hobnobs yet, I wonder if they would work with Splenda instead of sugar? Think I'll give it a go.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

I should stop baking so much, or get some serious will power0
