Overpaying your bill

Quick question.

I upgraded my phone a few months early as I was sick of my old phone and Android. So I know my upgrade cost would be £80 which included delivery of my new phone.

So my bill this month was £36, but I know next months will be a whopper because of the upgrade, so I decided to pay £100 instead of £36 so more will come off next month and it won't be so high. However, now I've done this, I cannot find anything on Three's site indicating that I have paid this much off this bill.

Should the remainder come off automatically next month as a part advanced payment, or have I made a mistake and should not have paid this amount?

Thanks.

Best advice I can give you is to give them a call and make sure the system is showing as £100 in credit at their end. If it isn't you will need to prove to them that you made that payment, usually by bank statements etc.

Paying more than a bill amount isn't good practice. Just keep the money aside.

It shouldn't be a problem, I can't speak for Three, but I do know on other networks the systems were quite happy for a customer to go into credit. It was often used by customers with a low credit limit who were going abroad and didn't want to be caught by reaching their limit and having outgoing calls restricted.

Just give CS a ring and ask if the payment has been received.
