The other option is local charities. Groups like the British Heart foundation will come and collect stuff.0

I know someone who left some furniture outside the house with a FREE sign on it. Nothing was taken.
His friend suggested a new sign saying FOR SALE - £50. The furniture was all nicked a couple of hours later.0 -

That's what I've done in the past. Very easy, just rip off the upholstery, the frame is only wood so either a saw or a sledgehammer to break it into manageable pieces. Burn the wood, or recycle at the tip, according to your preference. The rest of it can go into your bin bit by bit, or drop it at the tip if you're going there anyway. It'll take 20 minutes max to smash it up. And it's good fun0
