Getting rid of a sofa bed, running out of ideas

So we have a sofa bed, We bought it second hand a few years ago. I have tried putting it on Ebay for £10, gumtree and free cycle for free but no one is interested. We need to get rid of it this weekend, has any one got any other ideas?

A better picture would have helped.... it looks a bit grubby. If it's actually clean then phone round some charities to take it away?
In some areas there are house clearance companies (where I used to live they were few/far between; where I am now there's one on every corner). Even though it's just one item they'd take it.
Use anyvan.com to get quotes for a man/van to come and take it away and dispose of it for you.0 -
Do like most people and take it to the council tip. Or call the council and ask them about bulky item collections.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

Thanks! I think......
Can't fit in the car sadly, will look in to the council collections, have a feeling they will only collect in the week which won't work for us.Recently married and loving it x0 -
^ You don't need to be there when they collect. They will tell you when they are collecting and to leave it outside for them.
Look online for local furniture projects.0 -

Really, that's an idea then although there is not a lot of space outside to leave it, just looked online and it's £25 bit more than I wanted but suppose it justs needs to go.Recently married and loving it x0 -

Your right, it's half and half really it is a bit of a grubby colour to start with and then there are a few marks on it. I have phoned a couple of charity places but they are not keen. I think I need to stop trying to flog a dead horse and get the council to take it (esp if we don't have to be there)Recently married and loving it x0 -
Or you could attempt to break it up yourself, then either burn the wood inside or stick it in your bin. You'd be surprised how small you can break stuff up if you put some effort in. We've managed to get a double mattress into our black bin (along with our normal rubbish) and a corner leather sofa, though we did burn some of it. If you get a good stanley knife and a saw it'll soon break down small enough to get in your bin, might take a few weeks of collections though.0

When I couldn't get rid of my sofa, I took my mallet and hacksaw to it, broke it down into smaller bits then drove it to the tip.0
