It doesn't matter what the OP said. The dealer had the chance to inspect.
Anyway the OP is (most likely) a lay person whereas the dealer will be assumed to have some knowledge since they are in the business.
The dealer probably didn't inspect because they probably pull the same trick every day of the week.0
