I've been looking at the following 2 deals and wondering which to take. Both contracts are fine I just need to consider the likelihood of cashback. Tempted to go for the Phones4U but is it very risky??? Your experience is much appreciated.

Phones4U
Samsung D900i
Vodafone 500mins/500texts
12 months free, 4 cashback claims (£48 -6m, £96 -8m, £144 -10m and £192 -12m), Quidco £50.00
Effectively £50.00 in credit if cashback success in whole term.

e2save
Samsung D600 (clearance)
O2 400mins/500texts, £35.00
11-month free, 5 equal cashback claims, Quidco £36.50
Effectively £1.50 in credit if cashback success in whole term.

I would go for Vodafone myself not only because of the higher credit at the end but also their data charges are move favourable than O2's. Also Phones4U have shops on the high street and are a reputable company, not to say that e2save are not but financially the first one is better - more mins, etc.

I'm afraid I totally disagree! From what I've read Phones4U are NOT reputable OR financial more sound. I also have found them totally impossible in terms of getting ANY answers regarding their cashbacks. The cash-flow on their offers is far worse AND having seen someone else's cashback terms yesterday which they received AFTER they purchased my suspicions are more than confirmed!!

e2save said they give 12mths deal if you calll...its 11mths when done online..so that effectively just as good as getting quidco cashback..

    Hi gsmmad,
I'm obviously missing somethiing here.....if you know you will get your cashbacks paid from p4u, then why do you advise not to go for cashback deals?

They both have their risks.. phones4u have questionable reliability and e2save has the pricematch (very strict) terms.

Also the phones4u cashback is weighted more to the last cashback so u get most of your cashback right at the end £48 (m6), £96 (m8), £144 (m10) and £192 (m12) whereas the e2save is divided equally at £77 x5.

The other thing is reestit-mutton's doesnt list the phones4u site deals and i suspect that primarily because there hasnt been any real good feedback from people recently.

To be honest I would go with e2save but be very meticulous with the t&c and ensure you check and double check for each cashback.

I would recommend e2save because I have used them and have not had any problems (so far that is, still got one cashback left)

Never used phones4u, so can't say anything about them.
