How to connect Android tablet to tv

I bought a £2 cable to connect my camera to my TV. I've got all manner of chromecast/Apple TV and now i just bought a wifi SD card.. but the cable wins for simplicity and speed of use.
Nicely, my TV recognises the camera and lets me use my TV controls to navigate the photos - i was quite surprised since they're not the same brand0 -
There's no HDMI so its Chromecast or nothing.Went shoplifting at the Disneystore today.
Got a huge Buzz out of it.0 -
If your TV has a USB port for displaying media from a pen-drive (rather than just software updates) you might be able to just use the tablet as a large external drive0

Hey Uniscots97,
I've done a little research and it seems that the iRulu 7 inch does have a mini HDMI port. The specs (720p, 800*480, CPU) certainly suggest it would support HDMI.
What you need as a HDMI - MiniHDMI cable (not microHDMI)
I've got a Chromecast and although I love it, it's still a little laggy and slow with some movies (directly streamed from web) but for photos, it's perfect.
A HDMI cable will set you back a few quid. Well worth the investment as you can take it travelling with you. Plug into hotel TVs and watch films etc.0
