Barclaycard Cashback card is back! be careful though....

I am considering applying for this card as it is a lot better than my Capital One Card which is o.5%. Capital one (after a 4% intro period) now give 1% but that's "new customers only" and said I could only have that if I cancelled my card and reapplied... and they wouldn't guarantee to accept me! No loyalty there. So, I contacted Barclaycard to ask which Petrol stations and supermarkets you get the cashback at. I was told "I thought it might be helpful to explain that, Cashback is only awarded on transactions at qualifying merchants. All retailers have a Standard Industry Code (SIC) which identifies the type of goods or services they provide e.g. Groceries and Provisions, Petrol Station etc. We can identify retailers using these codes as we are provided with this information when a transaction is processed. If the merchant code is not recognised as one of the qualifying merchants, then Cashback will not be applied".
Re amount of cashback: I assume where people are saying they only get 1.5% - is it not in the wording i.e. 0.5% on everything and then a further 1.5% on petrol etc making 2% !0 -

Just got my statement - yes it is 2% for petrol and supermarket, comprising 1.5% petrol/supermarket cashback and 0.5% standard cashback :beer:0 -
I notice Barclaycard Platinum does
2% supermarkets
.5% everything else
AND
0% balance transfers....
