    Thanks for the replies.

rising from the ashes - Yes that's the one. It was recommended by our vet and I had already read a few positive reviews prior to that, with regards to the rice, I though that was good for their digestion? The price isn't too important, I mostly want whats best for her, but this being MSE I want the best for the least! :P

As for mixing wet foods in, thats not an option for general feeding as my other half is repulsed by the smell (she's got a very weak stomach!) so the "meat" tends to only be fed when I feed her or as a "treat" now and then.

I'll defiantly look into local suppliers and prices of Taste of the Wild and coun countryside mix and the allaboutdogfood website looks superb, defiantly a lot more research needed!

    Thanks all!
    Paul

Rice is actually one of the main causes of allergens in dogs. Can cause all sorta of issues. And even if it's not causing any allergy issues it is basically just a filler. Dogs can't digest rice properly, they convert it to sugar (glucose) which can cause hyperactivity.

Brown rice is easier digested than white but it's basically just a pointless filler.

My eldest dog developed a intolerance to all cereals around 2 years of age.

Some cracking foods have been mentioned already but will throw Simpson out there. They do a grain free and and 80/20 food.

The 'All about dog food' link is really good, you should definately have a nose around.

I feed Millies, have also feed Fishmongers (both good though Millies is better in MYO).
