Help! I have a CCJ! Parking Fine

I'm very worried and wonder if anybody has any knowledge on this.
I moved out from my brother's house a few months ago and thought I'd transferred everything to my new address, but I've now realised I forgot to update my car log book.
Anyway, in March I went to an exam in Cardiff which was in a hotel with a car park controlled by Parking Eye. I paid for the parking using an online app whereby you key in the location number which is on the side of the parking meter. No problems I thought until I noticed that the location number on the side of the box was different to the number on one of the signs which was in the car park. Anyway, I was informed it's all one car park and as I'd paid I thought I would be fine.
Fast forward a few months and I've collected some mail I had at my brother's to find they fined me anyway and took it to court whereby I've had a judgement made against me for not paying. The judgement was made about 2 weeks ago and now I'm extremely worried what this is going to do to my credit score just when it's building back up after some late payments a few years ago.
I don't think I can even appeal it due to my not responding and I'm absolutely gutted.
Is there any hope for me? Can I do anything?
Thank you

Pay within 30 days and the CCJ will be removed from the CCJ register, make sure you check and insist on this.
Although not great because a POPLA defense against parking eye would have won you the case it would seem the easiest way out now.0 -
Really? That's great if I can get it removed!
I'm so annoyed at myself because I actually paid for the parking!
Now it's costing me £200 that I really don't have!
Out of interest what is POPLA defence?
Thank you for your help.0 -
For how to use POPLA etc, see this subforum

Make sure you get proof of paying the CCJ within 30 days and then ask the court for the form you need to get it removed from the register.0
