Asking this for my parents.
My mum asked me if they do broadband without the need to have a direct debit. My parents prefer to pay over the counter for their services.
Does such a thing exist?.

Use your BT Payment Card to pay your bill in full or make payments towards it, providing you pay the full balance by the date stated. You can pay at PayPoints in supermarkets, newsagents, stores or petrol stations displaying the yellow PayPoint sign. Alternatively, please take your bill and barcoded payment slip to any PayPoint outlet. Please retain your receipts.
You can get a payment card by phoning us on 0800 800 150 from your home landline. You need to have your account number handy.
Virgin media offer the same. Not the cheapest way though0 -
I'm probably talking through my elbow here  but ....
Never having used BT broadband, I've always assumed it would be simply added to the BT phone account and paid in the same way.
How does your Mum pay for her phone line at the moment?0 -
Byt they'll pay extra with most providers for the privilege, so persuade them otherwise-they have the DD Guarantee as protection at all times anyway. No free lunch, and no free laptop

My parents are steadfast about not using direct debits for anything.
I will tell them to talk to BT (as it is their phone provider and they will not switch).Never Knowingly Understood.

I'msick to the back teeth of telling them how much they could save by switching, but they are beyond educating.Never Knowingly Understood.
