World Cup match missed because of delayed flight?

Hi - our flight from Portugal to Brazil was cancelled and we were then put on another flight the next day - however this flight was delayed for three hours.
As a result we missed the first half of a World Cup match on the day we arrived.
We are seeking compensation for the cancellation and delay, and wondered if we would be able to claim for some or all of the cost of the World Cup tickets.
Does anyone know or have any experience of this?

Only way to claim for tickets is via your insurance. Was yours a TAP (Take Another Plane!) flight?
