Good news about your dad Molly, it is time to take care of you now.

Huge thunderstorm last night and this morning with sun this afternoon but still horrid and sticky.

Had a really hectic day DH went to work at 6am then took DD to work, then he came back and took me to the hospital for 9.30am (maxiofacial clinic and he doesn't think that the thing I have in my mouth is anything to worry about, but he wants to do a biopsy to be on the safe side), then we went to KwikFit and had a new tyre put on the car, they were really good and supplied us with free coffee, which was good because I was gasping by then byebye another £45 :( After that we went to town and got the fruit and veg on the market and spent lots in the Wilko sale :o then we went to see the outlaws and DH ended up helping FIL with a new gate.

We finally got home at 3.30pm

Then at 6pm we had to go and pick DD up from work, then they all went swimming and have just finished their dinner and DH is now washing up for me.

I had a shower this morning but the sweat has been pouring off me all afternoon.

Now chillin' with a bottle of wine :D
I hope it cools down a bit more tonight so I can sleep

Good evening all corker of a storm last night and the garden has just soaked up the rain.Very sticky and humid still though and I have been unable to get online for most of the day because of server problems.Fingers crossed all will be OK now.I managed to get a quick wash done in between the showers this morning and got it dry on the line this afternoon.Elder DD is off to fly and flop on a greek island tomorrow for two weeks .Me I think it will be a BBQ at youngest Dds (weather permitting ) and maybe a long walk with her dogs at the country park first
Have a good evening all, and try to stay cool

    Evening all.

It has been a mixed bag today, thunder, lightening, rain on and off and quite heavy at times, which has really matched my mood :(

More than once today I have found myself asking why I bother? I am trying to clean the house, make more home cooked foods, save money, etc. but don't feel that any of it is appreciated. I want to incorporate more OS ways into our lives. The children will benefit greatly from not eating so much junk but it just doesn't seem to be coming together :(

I've subscribed to quite a few of the older threads and would love to ditch all the newer cleaning products for those that were used back in the day, ditch the fabric conditioner, save on food shopping, not buying it unless it's needed but it all seems very daunting.

I'm sorry I'm having a moan. OH's response is that we don't have to OS and can carry on as we were but that wasn't working and I was still feeling frustrated with things. I'm not sure what this moan will achieve but I wish everything didn't seem so hard.

Baby steps hun, it does come together but you need the family on your side. Maybe if you had a treat every weekend as a reward for being good all week, it might get everyone involved.

    Thank you.

I really feel like crying right now. It is all so overwhelming. Everywhere I look there is mess but OH just doesn't see it. The possibility of redundancy is still in the air and so I am trying to cut back, change spending habits but the whole family seem resentful of this as though I am being spiteful on purpose.

All I want is a happy healthy household but I'm getting the opposite and don't know how to move forward :(

    Sorry

Sorry your going through this. I must admit its difficult when, as a family your not united. I have much the same problem with my husband. He moans I spend too much when we go food shopping so I cut back and then he moans we've got nothing for him to pig out on. I spent what he would call a reasonable amount on groceries last week but come midweek he pottered off to the shops and spent £20 on junk. I don't think he's quite got it into his head that less money spent means less junk bought.

The only thing I can say, like the others. Take your time making changes. The idea is to slip things in gradually rather than suddenly impose rules and regulations. I too am trying to make changes in my home over something different but I am having to go slowly as any change is being met with resistance. I'll get there one day. So will you.

    Chin up.
