    Morning all
I've not been posting much but have been reading along.
Molly lovely to see you posting, glad Dad is settled, take care of yourself & post when you feel able, you are missed when you don't post & we worry about you,
Hugs to Hilly, same goes for you.
LW I'm glad you've had some visitors.
Work is busy, lots of stressed staff, hubby is stressed too, new staff member have started, but it's taking up to 60 days to get CRB through so that's not helping.
We had visitors last night, we sat in the garden til 10, chatting.
Washing is done, just waiting til the rain stops so I can hang it out, hubby is working yet again this morning, I have 2 DGD's for the morning as DD2 is working & SIL & DGS are at a football tournament until 2ish.
It's taken me best part of half an hour to write this post, as one DGD has been applying make up to my face and the other one has been needing help with gluing and sticking, so I must get on.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester
    Chin up, Titus out.

    Morning all,

shopping all done and put away by 10am. I could get used to shopping online so easily again.

Its hissing down here. Had storms overnight but I managed to sleep through them. I lay in bed with the blinds open watching the lightening light up the sky until I fell asleep. The temperature has dropped to a chilling 68 degrees but we've still got the air con and the fans going.

Molly, so lovely to hear from you. Glad things are a little more settled for you. I'm glad you've a date for your op.

Not much planned for my day. We wont be going out that's for sure.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

On/Off rain all day here though still very warm/muggy/clammy - not been dry long enough to do anything outdoors :(. Think we need a 'proper storm' to really cool things down - yesterday's morning storm didn't produce any rain, only thunder/lightning.

DS1 didn't bring the cordless strimmer home from work, so no chance of any gardening anyway :(.

Phone-call from DS1 begging for 'a bed for the night'.

As his stepson is away for a week with his dad, DS1's wife is hosting an 'A** Summers Party'. He doesn't fancy spending the evening/night with 12-15 drunken women who've been looking at 'sexy gear' all evening - what a coward!!!!! Poor fella thinks they might want him to model fluffy handcuffs / posing pouches / willy warmers whilst holding a 'Rabbit' in each hand ................. :rotfl:.

Managed to get a load of laundry washed, but had to resort to using the TD - couldn't put on airer overnight as DS1 will be sleeping in spare room where the airer normally goes! At least it's made me 'have a sort out' in the spare room - put clothes away and sorted boxes a bit neater. At least the bed is accessible for him .............. ;).

Bathroom has had a 'quick clean' - window sill was rather messy with dust etc as we've had the window open a lot recently and it was showing the results of that :(.

Sorted out some old paperwork for recycling, so the bin has almost been filled up :D.

Oh well - not exactly a 'wasted day' ............... despite the lousy weather :D.

speak again later - Lilyplonk xx
  • Afternoon everyone, we had rain this morning and quite a lot through the night but the weather has been sunny and hot since just before lunchtime and walking the lurcha this afternoon was sticky business indeed! He had such a bad night, I couldn't hear thunder but his hearing is so much more acute and he paced, panted and tried to dig his way out of the front door until 4 in the morning. He Who Knows took over from me then and eventually the boy settled at 5.30 and deigned to go to sleep so we're shattered today.

Popped to the shops for supplies this morning and picked up lots of YS bargains in W8rose and got some nice fruit from the local greengrocer and had a nice YS pizza for lunch which was just what we needed, not too big a meal in this heat.

MOLLY so pleased for you that your dad is settled in the home, one problem down and off your plate love. Is mum in her bungalow yet? and is Miss Molly back from uni now? that will give you a bit more help in dealing with mum if you need it. Stay strong until you have your op in August, look after yourself and let us know all is well once you're through it and recovering, good luck, Lyn xxx.

  • Well done, it is obviously making it's way up the country. We have blue skies now, here's hoping for a quiet night tonight.

  • Good evening everyone :)

    Another lost post today.

We have had rain but no storms, it's incredibly hot and muggy, not looking forward to trying to sleep tonight.

Molly - am so glad your dad is settled. Please take the time you need for you now x

Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a lovely evening.
