Urban Decay Naked eyeshadow palettes

Hi all!
I was hoping to hear from people who have already used these 'legendary' palettes
I'm considering buying one and doing away with all my old eyeshadows. All the reviews are amazing, but I just feel it's a lot of money (Debs have them for £37, not sure if there's anywhere cheaper) to spend on something I might not like... Are they really as good as people say??
Also, any recommendations on which palette would be best? I've read '1' is pinky and '2' is more bronze, but could be the other way round! I've got quite pale skin with green eyes and reddy brown hair. I normally wear taupe/sparkly brown eyeshadows but hoping if I do buy a palette it will help me branch out.
Any opinions or recommendations ladies? Thanks in advance x

I got one of these for my birthday
I got no.2, it is hard to make a choice I think, looking at all of them now I can spot colours in each that I like which do not appear all together, so it's best to go to a store and ask for a trial of whichever palette they think suits you. Everyone has a look be it pared down and natural or brazen, it's about what suits your style more than anything else, and what your most likely to use.
I haven't seen them cheaper elsewhere but I've not really looked, I'd stay clear of cheaper versions though as I know this brand and these palettes are world know, very big in Brazil apparently and so fakes are rife, it may be you get a good fake, but you will never know exactly what went into it or who made it, save yourself the anxiety and save up or wait till Christmas!0 -
I got one of the Urban Decay Sustainable Shadow Boxes in the wooden box, not sure if they still do them. It has browns along with silver and some jazzy bright colours. I LOVE it and it lasted AGES as I don't wear make up every day. I'd buy another one definitely- or put it on my Christmas list!!0

Naked 1 has warm tones, Naked 2 has cooler tones and Naked 3 has a rose gold overtone. All the shimmery shadows are very glittery, more night than day IMHO and the shimmers are also guilty of fall out when you apply.
Are they worth almost £40? I'm not so sure, personally, but I will concede that I'm probably in the minority. There are lots of good dupes available, Makeup Revolution have "Iconic" pallets for sale on the Superdrug website for £4; some reviews claim the pigmentation is superior and there's less fall out.
Definitely try before you buy, if you can.0 -
I love Urban Decay eyeshadows, I am currently using the Naked 2 palette but I have pale skin and very dark hair, so I'd reccommend trying some of the colours to see which colours work for you. I think they're worth the money, they last me ages and I don't waste money on cheaper alternatives that end up in the bin! Debenhams sometimes have offers on them, not amazing discounts but a few quid helps!0

I love my naked palette but they are expensive.
If I was going to buy again and paying that much money I'd be tempted to get the lorac pro palette I believe you can get shipped to the uk for amazon.com
The makeup revolution palettes are cheap and meant to be very good dupes.0 -

can i just thank you for mentioning makeup revolution, i've been looking for an MUA trio eyeshadow in passion for ages on ebay now as it's discontinued, look what i find here - nearly exactly the same, but even better! :T
they look exactly like the old MUA ones so i'm hoping for the same great pigment, long lasting, no fall out on application & stunning colours, you've made my weekend0 -
I have the MUA undressed palates, they are also dupes for the naked 1 2 And 3 palates and are 4 pounds each.. worth a try trying a cheap dupe like these or the make up revolution iconics first to see if you like the colours. There are lots of youtube videos comparing the naked palates with the dupes.. worth a look. Many thanks to all who contribute on MSE0

I have Naked 1 & 2 and absolutely love them and think they were worth the money. The colours stay on so well and they all combine nicely together which is good for me as I am not brilliant at choosing colours. I use the palette both for work and for nights out. I don't like Naked 3 as it is so pink coloured and would make me look ill.
I have tried the MUA one, but haven't found the colours last or blend as well. But if you use a primer you may not find this a problem.0 -
I have No.2 as I have a very cool light skin tone, blue green eyes and dark blonde/light brown hair and I find the cool bronze shades suit me so well, I don't use any other eyeshadows.
I got this palette from xmas in 2012 and still got plenty left so even though it is expensive, you get a lot for your money.0 -
These are on ebay for £19.00.
Or am I looking at the wrong pallet? Or are they fakes, how can I tell? Can't think of anything smart to put here...0
