In what way? I said it then, ive said it now(prior to you remind us what was said) indicating its consistant.

Tell you what, i'll throw this out to everyone else - does anyone here think that Topdaddy is consistent in what he says, compared to what he subequently tells us he thinks he said?

    Anyone?

    And who would that be?

Again, i'll throw that out there - anyone else NOT know who i might be suggesting is very childish and immature in how they form and defend an argument?

    Anyone?

How can you expect strangers on a forum to be aware of your social circle?

Ahhh I see. I was wrong when i said communist, your more of a socialist. Thats fair enough.

but a focus is better than a veyron?

And that is what has extended this thread beyond sensible, there is nothing bad about being wrong from time to time, it doesn't mean that once somebody is right they are always right, or when they are wrong they are always wrong.

But to your query a Focus better than a Veyron?
Well if you are sat in peak time traffic the Veyron will not be quicker, if you were going away for a week, the veyron may not have the luggage space, if you were in North West Scotland say, the Veyron may not have the fuel tank range.

Totally agree - "better" is subjective.

No, not always but a base model isnt as good as the top of the range model regardless of marques or model. Its better right? Or "more good" if you prefer?

My Fiancee bought a Honda Jazz as a first car. The top of the range was the "sport" model, which attracted a large (£500 plus) premium over the SE model. The only difference was a sporty body kit, which my fiancee both disliked and had no need for. Plus, being called sport meant insurance was about £500 a year more.

But I suppose she is now an idiot for not buying a top of the range car?

I also have a fairly uncommon Ibiza ST. My model has rear electric windows as an option, but fitted. The only other difference between mine and the top of the range (at the time) is sports seats which I didnt want as I found them less comfy. Add to this the fact that I bought my car from a dealer just 15 mins away, and there were about 15 others within 40 miles, but there was just 1 top of the range model in the whole of the UK, located 300 miles away.

Top of the range is NOT better.

Oops, given all the responses to that, maybe you're right to not actually express your opinions often, as they just get shot down...

    :rotfl:

Best stick to just saying "you're wrong"

I see this thread is meandering off on a different tack now and I'll remind the sensible forum members that TD, if he did say it, is correct that the top of the range is always best. At least according to the rules in his set of Car Top Trumps cards, clearly the only connection he really has with motoring.

I stand by what ive said. And also highlight when someone said of x6 thread that i said cheaper is better. Bit of a twist there. But yes a veyron is better than a focus( becuse if that is the criteria for comparison then there will be better still cars than the focus -by your own standards), dunno bout jazz's seems a waste of money to get a sport model on a not very sporty car but the premium attached suggests theres more than a body kit involved, I disregarded the rest of what you wrote, theres only so much time in the day.
Dutr have you read the thread? Ive been wrong before on this thread and admitted as such.

Yes thats right. Ive never even see a car have I? Ad absurdum....
Its been a while but arent top trumps a statistical comparison rather than a specification comparison, eg engine size, number of cyclinders etc?
