2 months ago I swapped from 3 to vf, and it's got to be said the 3G ( for internet)is krap compared to 3.
I have spoken to vf, they said that maintenance and upgrades to network were being made. At time I thought rito.. Has to be said it's still krap. This is in the Dorset and hampshire area.. Anyone else concur

Vf done the best deal on particular handset I wanted. Approx 3 years ago when I had iPhones, one on 3 and the other on Vf, 3 just fractionally piped it at the time when comparing data speeds

Is it just indoors or everywhere? I complained once and got a free SureSignal for use indoors, the transformation was brilliant

VF is crap for internet. Its the bottom of the pile in official tests. In fact they have been chastised for not delivering on their commitments to provide 3G. Its probably not maintenance, they were almost certainly telling lies. They simply dont do much 3G and when they do its a fraction of the speed of competitors.

ste_wilko: Cant see why that would help the poster. Poster is complaining about how crap VF is for internet. What is the point of using mobile data via the suresignal (and either having to use your allowance or pay for it) when you could simply use the home wifi.

VF wont get any better. In fact the 3G will probably get worse now they want to sell expensive 4G contracts. If you want solid voice and text coverage then VF are pretty hard to beat but for data you are seriously wasting your time and money on them.

^^^ pretty much spot on there. They got to get there act together,I use to get ribbed from mates about being on 3 ( when they was on VF) but now as they're using data more and now started to go to 3 as VF 3g is tosh.even the 2g in Bournemouth ain't all that. Stuck with them for 2 yrs now so not best happy, even to point may look in to cut my losses and taking new deal with 3

VF failed with their 3g rollout and are going to be playing catch up for years due to their lack of investment into their infrastructure.

They used to have the best network, now they are the worst.

    Hi deano72,

If you still in need of help with this, I'd recommend checking the network status checker on our website.

If nothing shows, zoom out on the map as the site you connect to may be outside of the area.

If you need any further help, please follow the network troubleshooting guide on our eForum, which can be found in the Network Queries section. The thread you need is called 'Network issues - initial checks and template'.

    Kind regards,

    Lee
