May not have got them. CCJs can sometimes be obtained at old service address and only then an address gets updated and you find out. Seen it before that the first a person knows is a judgement through from the court, or a company complaining that one has not been paid.

Always best to read the posts fully.
Earlier this year I received a County Court Judgement demanding payment of £1500+.

The Court would have been the place to resolve matters.

    Yes it is.

They say they received a judgement.

They did not say they received the claims forms. Which sometimes do go awol due to a wrong address being used at the time they were served, meaning the claimant gets a judgement in default that then comes as a shock to the defendant.

Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

In all my years of finance the lack of paperwork is always the number one excuse. As old as the hills one might say. Hence why it's universally disregarded.

You may not think so, but it happens quite frequently. Its also quite simple to check with the court where the original claim forms were sent to, and if thats an old and not a current address then its not a 'dog ate my homework' type excuse. You cannot reply to claim forms that you didnt get.
