Thanks for the advice
Maybe I could start with a few and see if they sell.0 -

Maybe get a few £100 as well as £500 and see how they go, you should do ok,try and end auction close for this type of amount in the first few days of month as people have been paid and have funds to spend!#JusticeForGrenfell0

The other thing you can try, is to auction ugg boots from the styles they sell at netaporter, give a 14 day turnaround and order from netaporter as the orders come in if that makes sense. They should go for £20 less than shop price and will fly!#JusticeForGrenfell0

Ooh those are good tips, thanks! I understand what you meant.
The site also offers a 14 days return policy so I was wondering whether to order first or after, but ordering once there's a bid is good.
Good idea about the UGGs too. I guess I could get a variety to make me look less fake in my "items I'm selling" list.0 -
Damn they don't do UGGs...maybe a high priced designer instead. The most expensive shoe is £1,720!0

If u find me on fb I'm toni quandt I've got a friend on there who buys stupidly priced shoes x#JusticeForGrenfell0

My initial idea would have been to ask around all my friends and family even on social networks to see if there's anything they want, or if they want to stock up on Christmas gifts. They can pay you directly and you can entice them by giving a 10-20% discount or however much you feel is appropriate for them 'helping out'.
I then saw we are talking about 20K which is a slightly larger sum to shift, but it might get the ball rolling!
Edit (afterthought): They sell Mulberry handbags which might get you a better margin than gold, and at ~£1000 and up each you wouldn't have to buy loads of them. Perhaps place some ads on Gumtree or similar to avoid the eBay fees, only order when someone expresses interest, and you have the 14 day return to fall back on if you get let down...0 -
And when you post the vouchers send them by special delivery to ensure you get a signature.0

i personally think having a load of shoes or bags on a the same time would scream fake to meWhat goes around-comes around0
