  • My boyfriend and I are going on a "Noney"moon to Vilamendhoo Resort and Spa in February (6 Months Yesterday wooop) all inclusive and direct flights staying in a jacuzzi water Villa for £6090. We chose this as the island has so much to offer! there is a adult ony side to the island and many things to do both day and night. it is a sister island to Meeru . this is the best island for us as we are both quite active. They also do wedding ceremonys for around £400 that includes photoshoot. (not legal) We got some quotes and went into thomson who finally booked for us through thomas cook and they managed to get us some money off. Hope this helps.

travelled in March , weathers always good then

been to Chaaya Reef , has good reviews on Tripadvisor and probably the best diving reef

their top water bungalows are new , some of the original huts are a bit dated but they were waiting to see if their licience for the island was renewed next year ( which it now has been so supect plans in hand to update the accomodation )

worth looking at your arrival/departure times for the flights from different supplier , if you land depart outside daylight hours the planes and boats do not run so you get sent on/back the night before or afterwards

the boat trip can be a bit choppy but worth it at least one way as you may get to see dolphins etc on the trip , the boat captains will often stop or make a small detour so you can see them close up

we booked with cosmoss , have a play about with the flight combinations , for some reason we were offered the same filghts but for £80 off under the original quote , I took that off and then noticed direct BA flights for £130 more (all the others transit via Dubai) so chose them for effectively only £50 more
