Is it safe to put Sky dish on taller pole?

We have a Sky dish mounted on a pole upstairs on the front of our house, and one of the old Pace Sky+ boxes (not HD). We've been experiencing bad loss of signal, failed recordings etc for a while and Sky sent someone out to have a look at it last week (we have Sky Protect insurance).
The person who came didn't check the box but went straight up to the dish and said he couldnt detect a signal due to the tall trees near the back of our house (which we can't do anything about). He fitted a larger dish but this didn't solve the problem and we now can't watch tv at all.
He said the dish needs to go on a taller pole but Sky won't let him do it due to health & safety issues. He suggested we ask an independent installer to do it. If there are any installers on here could you tell me if this is feasible (and safe)? I've contacted someone local but haven't heard back from them. If anyone knows any good installers in the Bradford area please let me know!

Cant it go up on the chimney? would be easier and look a hell of a lot better.
Obviously saying "can it go on a longer pole" doesn't assist us as we have no details re the current install height, the dish cannot go higher than the ridge tiles if attached to the wall.
But the longer the pole the larger the forces acting on the brackets, so these may need to be upgraded as well as a thicker walled pole.
You have a betters chance of finding a reasonably decent installer by finding one who is a member of:
the RDI, CAI , Which trusted trader.
None of these are utterly safe so use your own common sense when getting advise quotes.
Not sure of local prices but London prices would be around £150-200 to install on >6 foot pole with required T&K brackets.
Other options are:

or somewhere in the rear garden.0 -
Had mine moved when I had a conservatory added ( Sky dish would have been inaccessible) -at the same time the installer increased the height by mounting on a pole looking over the side of the house which took signal path clear of trees at the back -increased both quality and strngth of signal -cost me £110 including new cabling and drilling new access into lounge.0

No one on here can tell you if it is safe or feasible as this is dependent purely on your property.
You seem to have been gradually receiving a weaker signal which makes sense if the trees in question have been growing. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Here's a suggestion: phone your nearest Eurosat trade warehouse and ask them to recommend an installer in your area who is capable of handling what you want. They might be able to advise because they get to know the installers who buy from them.
