Vodafone bill shock

I'm sightly confused why you're only doing something about a four year old bill now?
I did try to sort this out with Vodafone at the time but as I mentioned in my early post, they were not able to give me a reason as to why I incurred the charges and I wasn’t going to pay for something unless I knew what I was paying for. I told them at the time that if they wanted to take me to court over it, I would be more than happy for them to do that but heard nothing after that until a couple of months ago when a company called Lowell started hounding me by aggressive letters and phone calls.

The 127.65 was for mobile browsing & data apparently. It does not say anything on the bill about me going over my allowance.0

What was the bill then if not for "mobile browsing & data"?
Have Lowell not added their charges to the original bill amount?0 -

If it was me I would contact the Voda rep on here and ask for a bill which proves and explains the debt owed.
Failure to provide proof would tempt me to take legal action to restore your credit history and claim for compensation etc
Do you have any proof from when you first contested the bill ? If so and you failed to get a response it will help your case no end. It's not just about the money0 -

No. The Broadband element of the bill amounted to:
£148.93
£21.28 for the service charge
£127.65 for mobile browsing and data.
The remainder of the bill was for my mobile although I now wonder whether this is correct.0 -

Can I just say that Lowell stated in their last letter that the debt was due to me ending the contract early. Which is not the case.
Does refusing to pay for something if you don't know what you are paying for constitute ending a contract.
Even if I did, it only amounted to £16 according to what Vodafone put on the bill.0 -
On the face of it it looks like the decimal point is in the wrong place ...£12.76 on the bill and charging £127.65

Can you tell me how I can contact the Vodafone rep?

I don't have proof unfortunately, thats why I wanted to go down the SAR route, in the hope that they recorded everything.0 -

Either reach some agreement or pay under protest and keep disputing the amount in question.Even if I did, it only amounted to £16 according to what Vodafone put on the bill.0 -
What I dont understand is why they cannot give me an account of what sites I was on at the given times or why the charges were incurred. I was told that they did not monitor what sites I was on as this would have impinge confidentiality policy. But if they don't know what I was doing then how can they know what to charge me.
Mobile phone bills are so much easier to understand. It tells you exactly what numbers you called and when you went over your minutes. I dont understand why its so complicated with mobile broadband.0 -
