Smartphone Screen Repair

Evening all.
Disaster happened, dropped my Lumia 1020 from about 2 feet, despite a case and screen protector, the screen has shattered. Still works thus far, with no obvious issues, just looks terrible.
Does anyone have any experience of repairs for these phones, and/or know of good repair shops to get them fixed?
I did consider insurance (may be covered by our house insurance, need to check...) but that may not be as easy as it sounds; protectmybubble etc have clauses to increase the excess in the first 3 months or so.
