I have a desktop (dx2420) with this MS-7525 motherboard
there is no connection for the 2 pin internal speaker, yet the speaker is sitting pretty just behind the front fascia, is it possible to connect it up.

many thanks

If your case has audio connections on the front of the case then those are probably connected to JAUD1 and you would have to remove that connector and connect the internal speaker to the appropriate speakers pins on it.
Looking generally at signals on this type of connector - it may be possible - but you would only be able to connect to the left (or right) audio. You would be better off plugging in a proper pair of speakers.0 -
If the motherboard doesn't have a header for the internal speaker, then you might not be able to plug it in.
have you checked the manual, as some motherboards put the speaker header in a separate place, rather than the standard with the front panel connectors.
of course, if the pc is running fine, then theres not much need for the internal speaker anyways, as its mainly only used for diagnostics now.0
