Using another sky hd+ upstairs

Hi, we are having Sky installed next week, hd+ box downstairs and normal hd upstairs, but my dad has recently cancelled his sky account (after his minimum contract time)to move to virgin, and has given me his hd+ box (the newest one available), after ours is installed can we swap the upstairs one to this box and be able to use the pause etc functions? or would the second box fee increase per month?

Why would you swap it after installation? Get the fitter to register the box to your account from the outset.
There is no extra subscription charge for a Multi-Room decoder which is a Sky+.0 -
Yes, just get the fitter to install the Sky+HD box you've been given. The normal multiroom HD box only has a single feed and will only be installed with one. To get the most out of the Sky+HD box you've been given, you'll need the second feed taken off the satellite dish.0
