If you did get BB on contract, you could install Alarm system with dialer, IP Cameras and Nest Thermostat/Nest Protect to remotely monitor the empty property and turn on the heating in advance of your arrival.
also, if you went with BT, you can get BT Sport streaming anywhere you have internet and access BT Wi-fi ('Fon') hot spots where out and about0
