It doesn't sound as if the OP has taken out any travel insurance anywaymake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Maybe since posting the OP has more important things to deal with than the possibility of losing £600 deposit.
There's nothing in MSE rules to say that a poster has to come back and update/say 'thank you'.0 -

If the baby is going to be only six weeks old then most insurance companies would allow you to cancel as you probably wouldn't have had your six week check by the time the holiday was due to start.
If you haven't taken out insurance yet then you now understand why it is so important. It may be worth checking to see if any bank accounts either of you have come with travel insurance included.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
Hi,
Go back to the tour operator and explain your situation you should be able to amend the holiday to a later date if you wanted to. However like someone has stated earlier the key is to be quick here as the longer you leave it the less chance you will have of changing it.
If not then check you travel insurance as you might be able to claim through them.
Hope it all works out for you and congratulations :-)0 -
Generally you will be able to transfer the holiday (including the deposit) to another date and pay the price of the holiday on that date plus a £50 per person amendment fee. That's what happened to us this year although I changed the destination aswell - I'm due to give birth the week we were supposed to be in Turkey! No longer ...tobe!
