Have been contacted about the transcription work, anyone else? :) Not sure what to make of the pay etc but I'm going to give it a go.

Yes me too. The hours they are asking are a little higher than I anticipated, but at least that presumably means there's a reasonable amount of work. I'll give it a go I reckon....

Really hope it is as good as it seems.

Nope, no pay for the SEE training. So would assume it's the same for the other roles.

How long was your training, if you are allowed to say. Don't want you to break NDA of course. Do you get paid if you pass SEE training?

If there's no pay then it's quite a chunk of time then :( especially when the kids are off school.

The whole qualification process took about 9 days altogether. (Although was sat around going nothing for around 5 of them due to a delay.) It actually took me 3 hours to read the guidelines/make notes, 6 hours to complete a practice set, and then about an hour and a half to do the final exam. And no, they haven't said anything about us getting paid for passing. So seems like that applies to the WSE role at Appen only. :)

Worth remembering though that if you do pass, pay is in £, so unlike with the other companies, you will avoid the bank charges, and know exactly how much to expect, so that is an advantage once you're in. It would though be good if training was paid, however, with Appen because of the amount of time I was not allowed to work due to a SLR, the initial payment was rather lackluster in hindsight!

Hoping someone can help me here.... I feel a bit stupid as I've probably missed something really obvious!

I want to apply for either SSE or transcription work (both would suit me) but can't get past the personal details page.

It won't let me submit until I've chosen a state/province. I'm in London and can't find an option (I've checked for both "Greater London" and "London").

I tried to leave the space blank but that won't work.

    Am I missing something?

This is a temporary role so I am going to wait and see if training is paid. The similar role with Appen was paid, and that is temporary too. It's hard to compare but I think Appen pay better even with the exchange rate...
