When I log in I get the message that there are no HitApps available. Are all of the same ones available to everybody which means everyone is competing with each other and it's a case of regularly checking when there are some available?

Or do I have to wait a little while to be assigned some as I only signed the form an hour or two ago? :undecided

Still over 5000 available for me.. Have you actually been given the green light to start yet? Or maybe accidentally logging in with an email you used with a previous job?!

I assume I've been given the green light to start. Yesterday I got the email telling me I'd passed the qualification tests etc. And today I got an email saying about the project starting today or tomorrow (and I assume it starts the same day for everyone?) and also the required hit rate per hour etc, and also I got another email with some documents to fill in which I did.

The email I'm using is a fresh one I made specifically for this so it can't be a problem with that.

I think I'll send an email later if they don't appear soon and see what the problem is.

Sounds like you might not have signed all the forms yet, then? The first is a paper one that you have to scan and then email back to them. There's then a second that has to be signed electronically.

Either that, or we all see something different when we log in, as with Appen crowdsourcing. Would expect it to be more like Appen WSE, though, where we all see the same. :)

A paper form? Is that the one that was just one page/box with basic information? I did that one yesterday. Today I received and completed the one that was (I think) 7-pages.

Perhaps I'll wait until Monday and see if I get any more messages.

I just applied and had to put Kent.
This isn't the first time its happened either! I studied in Glasgow and was trying to input education recently (it might actually have been for appen) and couldn't select either greater London or Glasgow for both institutes i needed.
And its happened on other websites too. I don't really get it - its not like London is small! And I always end checking and rechecking, thinking i must just be missing it, but not in this case!

Anyway, I have just applied for ISS.

I worked for LB until May. Then I applied for appen. But read endless warnings/afwul reviews - so didnt really put much effort into the tests. But then I passed the first one and figured i may as well at least try - if it turned out awful then could leave. But I found myself getting madder and madder as I sat my last exam. Some pages were very similar to guidelines, so id follow the guidelines, and the true rating would be way way off, and the explanation completely contradictory! I got some wrong i accept but some of it was just ridiculous!
From this thread it seems that ISS isn't too smooth a process yet but I hope its better than my experience with appen! And if I fail again - I hope at least it seems reasonable - Im happy to accept being wrong - when i am!

Thanks for replying. At least I know it's not just me missing something! Bit strange... I wouldn't have thought Glasgow or London would be missed off these sort of lists but nevermind.

I've decided to put Middlesex. A friend lives in a London borough but has the Middlesex postcode (and actually someone else I has a Kent postcode but lives in London).

Good luck with your application - hope it works out. :)

I was thinking of applying to Leapforce or Lionbridge but think I'd prefer to try transcription for now. I'll see whether I get anywhere with the application.

OK. Not sure what the problem is then. Has taken some of us over a week from finding out we'd passed to completing all the paperwork/actually starting work, so would be surprised at someone else starting just a day after passing. Not least due to the "issues" with the second form. (Had to email them back for further instructions, as I couldn't work out what we were meant to write in half of the boxes.. :o)

It must just be a bit too soon after completing the form, that sounds like a plausible reason. Better just wait a little while then and see what happens :D

Has anyone heard any more about the transcription exam? I've not heard anything yet.

Not finding it too bad so far (although yet to have an assessment!)

Really good to have complete flexibility over when the work is done (unlike Appen), and knowing anything between 10 and 25 hours is okay. Definitely feel this job has the ability to fit in much better with real life.

With the work itself plus the stupid "maximum RPH" rule, it seems a little TOO easy.. Hope it stays this way, though! :D
