Only for public health, if she is on a cruise ship the first treatment most likely will be on the boat itself which will be private healthcare.
Likewise if she needs a medivac either off the boat or from the country back to the UK then this wont be covered by EHIC. Its all well and good having treatment in a Greek hospital for free after a bad injury but you may not want to stay there 9 months until you are fit enough to travel by conventional flights -v- being stablised and then flown home to complete treatment here with your family around0
