Etsy item not received

Hello all,
I placed an order on Etsy 2 weeks ago and despite the items being marked as dispatched shortly after I've still not received them. I have contacted the seller but had no reply (this was only yesterday though).
What would you say is a reasonable amount of time to expect to wait for a reply from the seller OR the item to be received before I open a case?
I know 2 weeks isn't very long, but as the item is located in the same country as me I didn't think it would take over 2 weeks.
Thanks in advance.

How was the item being sent to you? If normal post, Royal Mail won't accept an item being lost until 15 working days has passed, unless it's Special Delivery which is 10 working days. Obviously if it wasn't Royal Mail, you can disregard this!0

I am not familiar with etsy, do their FAQ cover delays in receipt at all?

The FAQs regarding problems with items are:
Step 1: If you're looking to return an item or get a refund, or if you have general issues with an order, the first thing to do is contact the seller directly for help. To do so, visit your Purchases & Reviews page, find the order, and click Contact the Shop.
Step 2: If you haven’t received your order or the item you received is not as described, you can report a problem to Etsy by opening a case. On your Purchases & Reviews page, find the transaction and click Report an issue with this item. Scroll down to click Open a Case with Etsy.
If the Report an issue with this item option isn’t available, it may be too soon or too late to open a case for that order. Learn more about when you can open a case here.
Step 3: After you’ve clicked Open a Case with Etsy, provide the required information, choose your preferred resolution method, and click Submit.
I've done all of the above except open a case because I only sent a message to the seller on Monday so I want to give her enough time to reply. I've sent a message via Etsy and Facebook but had nothing yet.
I paid for it via PayPal, the shipping policy for the item doesn't say who delivers it, so I'm assuming Royal Mail. It was shipped pretty quickly after placing the order.0 -
Ah, I've just received a refund off the seller, still no real contact though, and I did actually want the items as they were a gift. Disappointing, but at least I got my money back.0

Using paypal meant you were OK anyway- regardless of whether seller voluntarily refunded or not.
