Experian accounts disappeared and Equifax scores very different

Options
Hi,

I just checked my report on experian and the scores this year have looked like this

14/01/2014 - 831
07/02/2014 - 693
10/02/2014 - 730
26/02/2014 - 711
04/03/2014 - 731
06/03/2014 - 773
15/07/2014 - 948

February - the dip is probably due to a car loan i took in December and took till then to register so my level of debt increased.

The latest score - high - well thats because I've no credit both my credit card and car loan have disappeared off the report. Neither are mainstream lenders....

Then I checked equifax and my score was 379 - fair also not reported my credit card or loan.

Could this be I've moved house in the last two months and therefore its no reporting them because they are now assigned to a new address.

Blooming annoying if I need to re-order my reports with my updated address.

Also thought it was interested that the two main players had such different scores - experian i was nearly in the excellent bracket!

If you credit reports do not show your new address then that is very likely why some of your accounts have suddenly stopped appearing.

It looks like you are paying for a membership service with at least experian as you have a record of the scores they have sold you, so it should be very simple to go online to change your current address and this should then show accounts registered at either address.

With regarding the scores being different, not that it means much but they have a totally different scoring scale (experian out of 999, equifax out of 600) - however these scores mean very little and I would not put much reliance on them. They are at best a very rough guide as to how a potential lender would view the information on your credit file from that particular agency. They don't take in to account many other things that a potential lender would consider when making a lending decision.

You have been a member of MSE for over 5 years and you still give credence to CRA's credit scores and I would imagine paying them money each month.
