Cutting the combined mobile and broadband bill: Blinkered by Orange?!

Hello all!

A week ago, Vodaphone sent me PAC codes for two seperate mobile contracts.

Since then, I've had about 4 calls a day from the Vodaphone retentions department- though I've not been able to answer any of them.

I've been focussing on researching deals to take out two new contracts with Orange (either directly with Orange or via the cashback websites)

My mobile usage is:
Contract 1: 300 mins talk / 150 texts (approx.)
Contract 2: 200 mins talk / 100 texts (approx.)

This is primarily to take advantage of the free Orange broadband offer when you take out one £30+ contract (the other mobile contract is used less so still undecided about whether to go direct with Orange or via a cashback website).

I currently get Orange broadband for £14.99, and have been perfectly happy with it. I toyed with the idea of getting free broadband from TalkTalk but decided against it on reflection of the comments on the Internet forum.

So, what I'm wondering, am I being too swayed by the free Orange broadband offer which is focussing me on going only for Orange contracts?

Or is there a more creative way of cutting the combined mobile / broadband bill which my Orange blinkers have blinded me to?

I'd welcome any comments/ advice.

Thank you.

Scotty
