    Diary Update:

So today is NSD 3/3, I am feeling happy about that.
I received a letter back from the garage I bought my dodgy car from today, again declining to pay me anything back. That means tomorrow I need to contact citizens advice again and find out the next step.... Don't think I can avoid small claims court now which is a further £70 I have to spend. I do think it is worth the gamble though to try and get back my £800 back.

I have a day off tomorrow, I am planning to clean my room and de-clutter.... see if there is anything I can put on Ebay or maybe just clear out some old clothes into bags and take them to cash for clothes. Any extra money helps.

Not long to wait now until Payday, and I am going to try out some new options with budgeting.... I am planning to try withdrawing what I would like to spend for the month and then separate it into 4 envelopes - one for each week until next payday and see if I can do it. At least spending cash will result in change which I can pay into my change jar.... Once it gets to £100 I will pay that too my debt.
Total debt to pay: £14,071.41/ Remaining debt: £12,884.12: Amount Paid: £1,187.29

    Todays update :)

NSD 4/4 which is good for a day off, I went and spent the day with my sister, niece and nephew!

Tomorrow is payday, cant wait to pay some more payments to debts!! I have had some brilliant news the garage I bought my car from are giving me £200 tomorrow towards the cost of repairs, it saves me going to small claims and helps :)
That is going to debts straight away!!!!

Feeling so happy at the moment getting rid of the debt that has been hanging over my head for years and for finally stopping smoking :)

Will be back again tomorrow x

After my update earlier I have had a really productive few hours, cleaned all of my room and changed the bed (You cant beat the fresh sheet smell) I would change them everyday if I could.

But I also managed to start cleaning out some of my clothes :D I have put 3 items on Ebay that are brand names... hopefully should be able to sell at least one of them. Anything that doesn't sell is going in a black bag to go down to cash 4 clothes! I feel like a massive clear of is needed, I am sick of the clutter.

Off to sleep now, ready to get up nice and early to transfer my pay to the places it needs to go :D

I have now paid £220 today off of the debt to OH mum :)

Tomorrow payment to my nationwide loan goes out which is £230 so I will update signature again tomorrow. Im already down into £15,000 territory, getting there slowly :)

I am literally sooooo happy right now, my motivation is getting stronger! I get such a buzz from seeing these debts come down!!

I know saving isn't advisable when in debt but i have saved £1200 into my mortgage fund in the last 4 months and so has my partner so we already have £2400 towards our home :)

  • Hey Laura, wow, you are on it aren't you? I'm so impressed, and fab news about the money from the garage, you must be so chuffed.

Good luck on eBay, I've got some stuff I need to sell and keep putting off putting my things on cos I'm not sure how to do it - is it easy?

Glad you had a nice day off, I love spending time with my family, my nephews are brill, so much fun.

Have a great weekend, have you got anything nicer planned? X x X

I like the idea about the envelopes! Let me know how it works out for you, I'm always interested in new ideas.. and toyed with this idea too, I think doing stuff in cash deffo makes you think more about it and seeing it right before your eyes also helps with respecting money! :) Great news about the garage too! Great milestone to be in the 15's instead of the 16's now wahoo :D.. xx Love Levi... x
    - on a mission to be debt-free by the end of 2017 -

    Thanks Levi!
I am so happy about the garage and means I don't have to go to small claims court now :) such a relief!

I haven't sorted the envelopes yet but I am going to sort it tomorrow, my plan is to withdraw what I would like to stick to for the month and hopefully have some left to either but into my christmas present budget or more favourably off of my debt! I really am addicted to clearing debt... but actually enjoying the journey!! :)
I will let you know how the envelopes go!

Seeing it drop down into the next thousand mark is such a great feeling, cant wait till its in single figures!

    How are you getting on?
