I am really hoping for some good advice here. I know its a long tale , please bear with me.
I took a contract out just over a month ago on a 12 month free on 02. I went for the 400 mins cos as I said to the guy I'ts not going to cost me anything over the year anyway. when I got first bill I realsed that it was only 200 minutes. I contacted them and was told they would check recordings to check conversation and ring me back. No call so rang them again, they said no calls were found but could I give any other numbers I may have used to place order. This I did - still no callback.
Rang today to find out that still no call found so I have to put up with it. I am saying that unless they can prove otherwise they should accept my word but they say no.
Spoke to 02 who said I could upgrade to more minutes but would only get the cashback based on the 200 minutes
BTW I have not use the phone yet in fear that they say that I've accepted their mistake. so over a month wasted
another side issue is that I put the contract in my wifes name using her card for payment and was not challenged under DPA. But I guess I stand to get into trouble for that as well so iI guess I'll have to let that one go.
Any way told you it was long but please if youve got this far pleeeease help.

It's always better to get everything in writing. I always order over the internet and copy everything - including the offer, t&c etc. The 12 month free is dependent on the cost. 200 minutes sounds like the £30 a month contract. I suspect you're stuck with it; 400 minutes would have cost about £35 a month. Academic, I know, since you're on a 12 month free. E2Save CAn be good but they tell you a lot of rubbish some of the time as well. I am also extremely puzzled that you didn;t check the documents which came WITH the phone when you COULD have challenged it or returned it. They ALWAYS state quite clearly what tariff you are on. A lot of people don't pay enough attention to the details and relying on what a salesperson says rather than written confirmation seems to me to always be a no-no.
I doubt you'll get much joy with them. Of course, you COULD always take out another 12 month free deal.0
