So after lots of letters asking for payment today a letter from DRP arrived, saying my daughter was being taken to court etc, etc. This is happening to her as her car was caught on camera at our local shopping centre where at that time she worked. However, both my husband and I are insured to drive her car and I was using it to shop on the day it was caught, I do use it regularly to shop as it's a small car etc.
My question, should I phone the company and explain this, my daughter is the owner and registered keeper.
Aplogies to users as I did put this in the wrong place. I guess my concern is not about the debt collection side etc, but according to what I have read on the forum we should not be ignoring these letters anymore but refuting them. The car does belong to my daughter but I am allowed/insured to use it and imagine there must be others in my situation too? If I shouldn't call the company then do I write and appeal?

if you had read post #4 of the newbies thread you would know that you IGNORE DRP
do not phone DRP
do not contact DRP
DRP CANNOT CANCEL THE INVOICE FOR THIS
DRP cannot take anyone to court for this
now , which part of IGNORE DRP and DO NOT CONTACT DRP or any other debt collector do people not understand ? (sorry to be so blunt)
the invoices from the parking company should not be ignored if in england or wales - that is correct
the letters from debt collectors should be ignored - also correct
any appeals go to the landowners and the parking companies - also correct
hope this helps you to "get it" ?
ps:- DRP have not sent the RK a letter saying they are taking them to court, please read the letter again
the RK should consider naming the driver (providing there was no windscreen ticket) and resetting the "clock" with a new PCN in the drivers name

What stupid parking company was this?
To echo Redx, never 'phone a parking company, never 'phone a debt collector, and remember that just about anything and everything they write to you is a lie.Je suis Charlie.0 -
it seems to me that DRP have sent out a bunch of letters late last week that have all arrived today, so inundating this forum with DRP posts , and despite people saying they have read the NEWBIES sticky thread , they havent !
hopefully these people will see the replies and read the NEWBIES thread, and the debt collector letters, AGAIN (it cannot say they are taking the RK to court, somebody has read it wrong)

as mentioned above, really need to know which sc**bag ppc issued the original pcn ?, how long ago ? , and if there was a windscreen ticket or not ?0
