So our broadband keeps dropping out, sometimes the light is amber sometimes its just off, I've made a dozen phone calls
And everytime they run the usual troubleshooting tests but nothing ever changes. They even had me on my hands and knees with a screwdriver removing every single fascia plate last week. I'm 30 weeks pregnant and have better things to do than keep phoning them, i just want the flipping thing to work. They've FINALLY agreed to send me an engineer in two days but I'm not holding my breath that he's going to fix it. Can anyone advise me whats the best thing to do if he cant resolve it? Would appreciate anyone's advice/experiences. Thanks, Mrs Frustrated!

Engineer should be able to determine the problem and if its at your end or BT/ ISP .The problem could be one of a number of areas some down to you others outside your control .
Guess engineer will start and test from the BT master socket and isolate your equipment .0 -
If you've tested from the BT test socket behind the master socket split faceplate and the fault is still present, then the fault must be upstream, on Sky's side.
Otherwise it will be a chargeable call out at a minimum £130-which is why the Sky agent correctly asked you to do that test.
Have you swapped out the ADSL microfilters? No free lunch, and no free laptop
