Hi, please could you give a newbie some advice.
I recieved a Parking Charge notice from Horizon Parking, in a Sainsburys car park, at Handforth Dean, This car park is not a paying car park, and is free to use.
I have read the newbie section and looking on your BPA page it states that No-to dept recovery, yes - to self ticket and yes - to ticket,
Looking at the back of the ticket it states that failing to pay the fine will result in dept recovery department, within 28 days. This is not a pay and display car park so don't fully understand what it means to self ticket and Ticket.
It also states on the back of the ticket, that I must appeal within 28 days. I received this ticket 11 June, and have been waiting for the notice to arrive. Or am I now just going to receive a Dept recovery letter.I am so confused by this now,
I have read your newbie section and would the template letter help me in this case, and would I send it to Horizon, or the dept recovery. It also states I could send a letter to the Owners (Sainsburys) to have these charges revoked. Do you have a template letter I could use to send to them as well.
Thanking you for your help
Joanne

you have hijacked somebody elses thread so I have asked crabman to split it for you so you get your own thread on this
as its a windscreen ticket (its not a fine and wont say the word fine on the ticket) you wait for the NTK and use the template letter in the NEWBIES thread to appeal it
this should arrive between day 29 and day 56 from the windscreen ticket
you cannot appeal to debt recovery, so your appeals go to Horizon
you should also be complaining for and getting a cancellation from the store too but that depends on your own letter writing as we dont tend to have landowner complain templates - you are welcome to check the links from the NEWBIES thread to find info and possible complaint letters for various stores, possibly this one, then adapt one
ps:- already covered recently in this thread too https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5014898
and this one https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/49927800 -
Thank you Redx for your help its very much appreciated
