I like it when they only buy (as far as the comparables are concerned) items that aren't 10% cheaper!:D:T:T:)

Britain's "Savviest Shoppers" on Channel 4 Dispatches as we speak. Started missing it so catch up on +1 at 9pm;).

They said their food bill was £25 per week.

£25?:eek: I don't even spend that much (real money) a month!

Wowsers that's cheap savvy. How many you feeding ? Xx

Could be a nice trigger - lots of good offers in Tesco.

This seems to be the most profitable.
Trigger plus 2 Repair Bath should cost £5 and give £5.30 APG.

Perky....just quoting this for you. You will find the trigger at Peter***where I said it would be.:rotfl:

Thanks V, I'll pass that on to MrAJ he can take it from there x

Following on from VT's point, the problem will come if a mortgage is needed, the mortgage company will inevitably want to know where the extra money has come from, and if you say it's a loan (even if it doesn't have to be paid back anytime soon) then it will count against him for what they will be willing to lend him, as they'll see it as a debt. They are very hot on this kind of thing these days, especially since the mortgage rules were tightened up.

On the other hand, if you gift him the money, then you may have to sign paperwork to say you don't ever want it back, and in theory his wife might potentially then be entitled to some of it during the splitting of marital assets as it would be his money, not yours.

I'd suggest getting a free half an hour with a solicitor to find out for definite where he stands, and ask on the house buying board if you need any info, they're mines of information over there :)

:j :j. Had an email from Love Your Garden. I've won a set of Cole & Bright solar lights. Sorry can't remember what they look like or how many are in the set :o

They will post them to me when the other winners send in their addresses. :j: :j

Ds1 has had council out to measure up for new kitchen and bathroom, he is over the moon. Work should start September/October.

Ds2 not heard from in months, it seems we have done something but not as bad as what he has done to us. That at sounds childish I know but he fell out with us and hasn't been near for months. Think this is directed by new(ish) gf.

    Ds3 same as yesterday

Ds4 still looking for a job (good time of year to be out of work)

Dil that ds2 left 3 years ago is struggling with the girls, we hope to be able to have them over here during the holidays to give her a break. Depression is an awful thing anyway but she has other issues to make matters worse :(

Off for catchup and a smoke
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.
