A lot of you will know we have our own telecoms company, meaning we often have to deal with BT for our customers.

They hit a new high/low today. They were putting in new lines for a customer, this meant running two new overhead cables, we would be annoyed if it took us half a day. The BT guy got there at about 10, stayed in his van for an hour then started work. He said he could only get 3 of the 5 live today, which would have been fine. Except he spent the next few hours doing a job that we would have done in a couple of hours, then he disappeared up the pole to connect the lines, the next thing my OH knew he had gone. He didn't go in to say anything, just disappeared. OH tested the lines and they were not live, goes to check the cabinet and BT man not there, checked the pole and the lines were taped onto the bottom and dangling, unconnected.

This customer has had previous problems with BT, to the extent that he knows the local manager. OH has got to go back there when the customer rings tomorrow, assuming BT actually manage it tomorrow!

Thanks again for all the birthday wishes :) Had more on here than in RL :o :rotfl:

Didn't do much really, DD and I went for a wander to find the Gruffalo carving in some local woods, which was good :) she was delighted at finding it, saying that it wasn't really hard to spot seeing as it's about 10 foot high!

I see there is some kind of Sanex glitch afloat will need to have a proper catch up and see what's occurring as the world is my lobster tomorrow :D
