Devere have sale again. There are odd nights in August but if you go to the back end of August you can find several days in a row

    http://deverevenues.co.uk/en/special-deals/summer-lovin/

For instance my nearest is Wychwood park, set in its own golf course but only about 15 mins away from a M6 junction has nights for £29 in the last week of August
(there is a local bus service from the train station to the gates and again a bus into Nantwich so its even possible to do if you have train passes)

This bit of the M6 gives you access to Chester or Hanley and shops, Alton Towers is a bit of a drive but possible, nice little market towns like Sandbach and Stafford etc

Cheaper than Travelodge or premier inn rooms :D

M&S Dine In for a tenner is indeed on this weekend http://www.marksandspencer.com/s/food-and-wine/dine-in

fabulous - so 2 meal deals and a GR voucher and a points voucher form the mailing - better than nothing.

Someone will start the big chicken list again :D

we cant manage a big chicken all to ourselves so it will be possible one of the other chicken meals and a pasta melt as we have some sort of pasta bake anyway in the week, cheese croquettes for me on my veggie nights when OH is having a pork chop, salad bowel as its another weekend meal with whatever is in the fridge, passionfruit roulade does us twice and it would go well with the posh asda vanilla ice cream, another pud and 2 of the most expensive wines.

so actually we get 6 meals out of 2 deals - pasta bake for 2, chicken thing for 2, salad bowl for 2 with whatever is in the fridge and my veggie meal
