We colour fondant for characters/modelling but i use colour packs for covering cakes. Any time we colour large pieces i don 't find the colour as sharp and the fondant seems more prone to cracking

Fair enough, the only colour I have trouble with is getting a sharp ruby red, so I don't use that for covering. I don't have problems with cracks... generally ;)

    Hi guys,
Have not been here in a long time but thought I should post something interesting I found out whilst having a meeting with a general manager from Tosco.

Sneakily asked him if with such large stock of items if they have any "glitches" with pricing ;-)
He pulled out his phone and said "the best way keep up to date is by looking at this site......H0tukdeals....of course I remained ignorant and continued to ask a few more questions and he confessed that sometimes its "higher authorities"n themselves who leak out information to gain customers!!

what was shocking though was the amount of food wastage which is thrown away, when asked why not donate to food banks. He said they did but some customers used to come back with products and claimed they were sold out of date items. So to remove doubt and bad press they now have to incinerate the whole lot :-(

Has any one else been doing the dishwasher powder test. 3 samples in the little glass bottles. Unsure if I can mention the company here as I know there's one company that doesn't like getting a mention.

I've completed the survey and it says a voucher will be on it's way to me. Didn't realise I got a voucher:T:T

    Anyone else done it?

    What the voucher all about?

I'm so glad you asked this as I am doing the same trial (not very generous with samples are they!) and I didn't realise there was a voucher at the end of it either, so I'll be intrigued to hear what other people have to say :)

Edit: I think it's ok to mention it, the unmentionable company is a different one, more about surveys with the odd product test thrown in occasionally.

I dropped by Mr A en route too. To no avail as regards this though:

    Comparison total (compared products only)£9.40£14.16

The Tuna on offer in M is John West Tuna at £3.49 - not that that's any good. I'm still banging the "Royal Line tuna" drum - 58p a can.

2 pack Sweetcorn Cobs on 99p in M, but that's utter rubbish when frozen sweetcorn 1kg is on vs £1 (with glitch as well I hope).

And...another item, but T's higher weight than M so no good vs M. Pod Peas 500g (vs T) at £1, FWIW.

I'm with TM, I don't do light/fat free versions (full of more sugar etc). Random but I love the smell of PVA glue, not that I'm a glue sniffer or owt.
