Don't know about halving broadband costs (right hand panel on this page).

Did notice (from strapline advertising that appeared elsewhere on the Internet) that TalkTalk now had "half" price £4.25 a month by having had a price of £8.50 a month previously. Last year the £4.25 was half price at £3.25 I think - obviously a big shoot-up to £8.50 in between now allows them to claim £4.25 at 'half price'.

Just beware - this £4.25 a month is more expensive than what the half price was last year. You probably knew already! But just in case - just to let you know of some of the tactics that are used!

[Edit: And that's for six months. It's £8.50 a month thereafter - therefore £6.37 or £6.38 a month over a 12 month period. Plus line rental at £15.95 per month. Notice how these charges are all put separately, rather than giving you overall total cost at the outset. Another part of the 'game'.]

[Edit: again: Maybe I'm getting confused! Confusion is doubtless what the pricing, of all firms, aims to create - this for TV broadband & calls. Maybe £3.00 odd was for broadband and calls only:think:]

apologies for asking again - if already answered and i missed it

do the apg c&c vouchers come in on fridays too or just tuesdays now ??

I think I may have confused you yesterday when I replied.
They usually come on Tuesdays, but they have been known to be later. As far as I'm aware everyone gets them at the same time, whether that's Tuesdays or a bit later. Hope that makes it a bit clearer? :o
From what Ive read today, everyone has theirs from this week. Is there a problem with yours?

Good evening :)

There's some stuff that goes on in my life that you just couldn't make up

Me and the rest of the family have spent an hour searching the garden for a stuffed panda  :rotfl:

It would appear I have the only child genuinely capable of playing hide and seek all by himself!! He decided earlier to play hide and seek by hiding 5 different soft toys around the garden and them finding them again. He came in absolutely distraught an hour ago because he forgot where he hid the panda!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Ive had tears, a proper meltdown (panda is his 2nd favourite toy) and no one was allowed to go inside until it was found.

And the funniest thing of all is one of our neighbours was walking past with his dog and came and joined in the search  :rotfl::rotfl:

Oh FC :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Loving the neighbour getting involved :T

Panda is 2nd favourite...what is 1st favourite? :)

I just feel like linking to this: for 'the truth', from another perspective:

http://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications/2013/5/TalkTalk-Telecom-Ltd/SHP_ADJ_220433.aspx#.U8WhNrEtrIU

Namely the truth (according to the ASA).

And this:

http://www.asa.org.uk/Rulings/Adjudications/2014/7/TalkTalk-Telecom-Ltd/SHP_ADJ_260109.aspx#.U8Whk7EtrIU

The truth seems to be one of TalkTalk publishing two misleading adverts recently, according to the ASA.

Noticed that, in the second link, the complainant and BT told the ASA of a competitor (unnamed in the ruling) which they believed was cheaper than TalkTalk.

I assume this competitor is not BT itself as it is not named. So - BT is aware of a competitor to both TalkTalk and itself which is cheaper than both of them? They are aware that they are more expensive yet they do not reduce their prices but instead take more money from the public than another place of which they are aware. Me reading between the lines. I may be completely wrong.

As far as I know, it's always just been the same day.
I don't even do C&C :D I just store all the info I read in my brain somewhere :rotfl:

I agree with what Anon seems to have realised earlier. It's a bit of a merry go round. Well it would be for me. The stuff that's been glitchy on C&C/HD isn't stuff I'd normally buy or use. I don't want to get on the hamster wheel :o

Bluebear (all his bears have very unimaginative names :o) he shoplifted Bluebear from Boundary Mills when he was a toddler in his pushchair  :rotfl::rotfl:
We got home from there and he was clutching in his hand. He must've swiped it from one of those round stands. It's a TY beanie thing. It did have a t-shirt that said 'I'm cool' on it. He now sports a t-shirt that was stripped from lifeboat bear :rotfl:

Remember when BT told people its fibre-optic broadband had arrived for businesses in Manchester but, it appeared, that it wasn't available to more than half those in the area:
