Make some borsht and freeze it?Thanks. Do you add any other veg/meatballs etc?I'm not sure, I've never made a good one. I tried just adding the usual (garlic, onion, celery) with some paprika and it definitely seemed like something was missing (possibly meat)
I tried some that dh's cousin had made at a christmas party and I kept asking for the recipe, but with no success (I think she thought I was being polite), it was lush
Sorry I can't help
this is my recipe freezes wellBortsch
Onion
Carrot
2 Raw Beetroot
Bay Leaf (optional)
Teaspoon Sugar
2 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
Sour Cream and Chives
Peel and roughly chop vegetables, put in a pan with the stock, bring to the boil and simmer for ½ an hour, remove bay leaf, and puree, add sugar and lemon juice. Garnish each bowl with a teaspoon of sour cream and chopped chives0 -
Afternoon you lot!
FC we've never had a dishwasher so imho they are a luxury. The one thing that annoys me about dishwashers is sometimes there is still dirt left on the plates and you get that 'residue' that makes stuff feel shiny and weird. Anyone else know what I mean?
I prefer to have control over what I'm washing up (ooh-er) so I can make sure it's done right. But each to their own. I'd buy one for my Mum as she's the chief washer upper but I think she has the same opinion on controlling it yourselfDebt free 6th December 2014
