I love the idea of Karma, and want to believe in it, but this sometimes seems very difficult, it's nice when we can see it at work

I've decided to start cleaning with vinegar at home as the place we live in atm has really hard water - anyone else here do this? I'm sure there's useful info on the old style board but having had internet-free couple of days I haven't ventured over there yet

Secondly just had a HD from Sada this morning and the Reeds and the Flash were not substituted (not charged). Possibly they have cottoned on??? :eek:

Does anyone know a way to preserve beetroot without using vinegar? I just don't like the taste of vinegar.:eek::eek::eek:

I've googled it but the best I could get was 50/50 vinegar with water and sugar. Have lots of beetroot ready from the allotment.

May be the work experience could turn into a job recognise your son s strengths.

I was really worried about my DD1 as she has learning difficulties but she's now temping and loving it and I'm hoping it will stand her in good stead when she needs a permanent job. Is that something your DS could manage WH or would that not suit him? HTH

It's birthday weekend coming up in this house (H is 2 and DH is 30 ) so started on preparations yesterday evening. Very productive it was too :j

Managed to get the cake topper for H's cake done so that's a weight lifted. DH decided we needed a 'theme' :cool: so have made a little racing car and ordered some chequerboard ribbon plus a cheap flag as a picnic mat.... that'll do :rotfl:

Have booked a surprise night away for DH on Sunday. Checked prices last night and managed to upgrade our room and it will be £5 cheaper :money:I'm so excited about the prospect of a lie in :j

Also thanks to mhoc for mentioning about using CC vouchers for magazine subscriptions. Had intended to do this for DH but forgotten... one Top Gear subscription organised as an extra present

A cleaning job we do, the lady asks us to use white vinegar for cleaning everything. Her house is sparkling, but stinks lol.
