Should really be keeping regular restore points. Your computer most likely does this automatically for you. (On XP): If you click on START at the bottom left of your screen and then click ALL PROGRAMS you should be able to see System Restore near the top of the list. If not you can do a search for it. When you open it up it should have quite a few restore points saved. If something messes up your computer then you can go to the restore point which was saved just before your computer was messed up. I guess really you should have someone with you who knows what to do and who can guide you through the process.

I have an apple mac, which I bought when OH said I could not have one… no one knows how to use it (DS2 refuses to even consider it on strange moral grounds). It took my 4 months to get a password in.. and I only managed this when I forced someone to show me how to do it before I ended a meeting!

There is no start button, but I went to sarafi and clicked the restore bits, but it did not work
