Tesco Credit Card Declined?

I applied online for a Tesco credit card and per above title I was declined. I have good credit have never missed a payment and any loans I have previously had have been paid off.
I cant apply to Experian to see my report as they would want to charge me as I had a trial a few years ago.
The only thing I can think of is my recent change of address. I lived at home with parents until last year and then moved in to a rented property. I did register on the electoral role at my new address last year. However I have not changed any of my address details with my bank to my new address, do you think this has affected it? When I change all my details to my new address how long should I wait before applying for credit again?
Thanks in advance.

Change your address details to your new address, and then wait approx six months.
Should be fine. It could also be that you just don't fit Tesco's idea of what they want as a customer. Perhaps if they feel they wouldn't make any money from you, or that you're too big a risk.
Who knows how they work?!0 -
You can get a free trial from Experian if you use a different e-mail address than your first trial. I have had 2 free trials this year.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life,as long as I die next Tuesday.0

You can get your paper report for £2 if you search for paper report on their site and wait for them to send it through the post.
It's worth doing if you think you should have been accepted, as there may be something untrue on your report.0 -
Yeah, the statutory report is only £2 and should be checked once a year anyway. Can't see what the issue is with obtaining it...0

I think you'll probably find that when you apply again Experian will match the details you've given during registration to a previous account and then charge the £14.99 membership fee to your card.0 -

No they didn't. That is why I put I have had two free trials this year. Registered with different e-mail addresses and different debit cards. Cancelled both before the trial ended, so didn't pay a penny.I have enough money to last me the rest of my life,as long as I die next Tuesday.0 -
Definitely going to order the £2.00 report, I don't remember seeing that you could get for £2.00 before, even now its way down the bottom of the page. Thanks very much for your help.0

It's been like that for at least the past 14 years. I guess it has less prominence now as they want to sell you the instant access product for a lot more money, or even worse their instant access product plus 'credit score' which is just a random made up number that they have somehow brainwashed people into believing is an actual credit score and means something :eek:0 -
You could always appeal the decision. Tesco declined me as they were one of the first I applied to when all my derog. data dropped off post IVA.
I appealed and they overturned the initial decline giving me a £2k limit.
Doesn't work every time of course!Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0
