Tesco Credit Card Declined?
Comments

It's been like that for at least the past 14 years. I guess it has less prominence now as they want to sell you the instant access product for a lot more money, or even worse their instant access product plus 'credit score' which is just a random made up number that they have somehow brainwashed people into believing is an actual credit score and means something
14 years? I was under the impression it was more like 5 years - or am I just thinking of a change to make them easier to access (i.e. order from their website)?0 -

You're probably thinking of the latter; I can remember ordering them some 10 years ago when I got into a financial mess and wanted to check what damage I'd done. It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Yeah, they have changed things in recent years so you can order the £2 report online with the option of viewing online.0

No they didn't. That is why I put I have had two free trials this year. Registered with different e-mail addresses and different debit cards. Cancelled both before the trial ended, so didn't pay a penny.
I'm afraid I'm going to have to say prove it
You're charged based on your credit profile, not your email address, not your debit/credit card used, not by your address, nor the colour socks you're wearing when you order it... etc.
So no matter what details you use, Experian will try charging you full price if a free trial has already been used to view your credit report. In fact you'll see a message informing you before you finish signing up.0 -
Last month I tried to get a second free trial using a different email address, they matched it up to my details and charged me the £14.99. I should have just gone for the £2 report! Anyway, it's cancelled now.0
